Lapses Allowed Suspect to Board Plane

Summary

A man called Faisal Shahzad boarded a plane to go to Dubai 24 hours after he was suspected to be part of the attempted bombing in Times Square. The plane was stopped before it would leave. The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security conducted an investigation to stop the suspected terrorist. The Mayor of New York City Michael R. Bloomberg said that they were just lucky to find this terrorist before it left. Many government officials such as Attorney General Erick Holder and the Janet Napolitano was a great teamwork and t
hat they were never concerned that he would never escape. He was connected to the attack investigators believe because he bought the car that contained the bomb. Currently the man is in custody.

Why does this Impact us??

This news was something really surprising for us because of the way Ukrainian parliament acted. The problem was that they acted like kids, throwing food and having a physical fight which, for us, was incorrect behavior. This is why this was surprising for us in our group.

Summary
After a debate that Luke More like a cafeteria fight between kids, the Ukrainian parliament agreed on an agrement with Russia. The interesting part was that the opposition threw eggs at the speaker, with security protecting the speaker with umbrellas. The opposition was so angry because the previous president had promised not to renew the base lease after it expire the agreement came thanks to the close ties that the current president has with Russia's president, Dmitri Medvedev. Summary

Two of the most senior leaders of al Qaeda in Iraq were killed in a milatary operation. The terrorists were Abu Ayub Al-masri and Abu Omar Al-Baghdadi. One was a milatary leader while the other one was a leader of the Aslamic state of Iraq. Al-Baghdadi had the tittle of if prince faithful. A US soldier was killed in the attack as well as other people. The mission took place in Northern Iraq, where they found messages sent by Osama bin Laden. Both terriosts at one point believed to be dead but obvously being false.

Why does this Impact us??

The last article really shocked our group members because of how it will affect Poland. We really feel deeply surprised and melancholic by the death of the polish president, and this may cause a crisis in Poland this is why the article impacts us.

Summary

On Friday, a plane carrying the president and many government officials of Poland, crashed, killing everyone on board. Presidents plane was to land on Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin, to come to terms with a massive killings that happened 70 years ago. Amongst the dead, were many members of parliament and cabinet minsters. Massiv

e memorials have been assembled, the largest since the death of John Paul II. Notably, there were thousands of candles lit in-front of the presidential palace. The acting president called elections due in about 60 days.

Why does this Impact us??

It is another earthquake. That is why it really surprises our group, because if you do the math, it is the 10 or more big earthquake of the year. It is ridiculous, but we can't do anything, it is still shocking though. This is why this surprises us, because it is yet another earthquake.
