A retired American autoworker called John Demjanjuk went on trail on Munich on Monday, after being accused of helping to force 27,900 Jews to their deaths in the Holocaust. He is listed as the most wanted Nazi war criminal, he worked as a guard at the sobibor death camp in a Nazi Poland in 1943.This was not the first time he was accused because he had been sentence to death in Isarel in 1988, only to have his sentence revoked five years later. During the trail, family and lawyers argued that he was to sick to be in trail, suffering bone marrow disease. The defense accused the judge of bias. The porsecutors argue that because he worked at a death camp he assisted in mass murder. Mr. Demjanjuk was nicknamed Ivan the Terrible of Treblinka, but later another man was to be that Ivan. Origanley a fighter for the Soviets, he was convencid to work for the Germans. Many people who own holocauslt memorials say that he sould be convictid.
